What is SFU Giving Day? SFU Giving Day is a university-wide celebration of generosity and impact. For 24-hours, the SFU community will come together to support students, research, and programs across the university through collective giving. It is a day to celebrate the impact of philanthropy at SFU.
When is SFU’s Giving Day? SFU will be hosting its first giving day on March 26, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on March 27, 2026.
How does Giving Day work? On SFU Giving Day, make a difference where it matters most to you by giving to a program or program you care you. You can also multiply your impact by unlocking additional gifts through match and challenge opportunities (see Challenges page to learn more).
Who can participate? Everyone is invited to be part of SFU’s first Giving Day! Thank you for supporting SFU projects and programs that matter to you!
Can I choose where my gift goes? Yes! On Giving Day, you choose where your support goes. Do you care deeply about student access? Climate action? Indigenous reconciliation? Medical breakthroughs? Your gift directly fuels the work that resonates with your personal values.

Can my employer match my donation? Many employers match gifts—search for your employer online during the gift confirmation step to increase your impact at no extra cost.
